Kong’ani is a Partner at NM Law Advocates LLP and the Team Leader of the Dispute Resolution Practice group.

Kong’ani is a top notch litigator with unrivaled expertise in dispute resolution and has represented clients in courtroom litigation, mediation and arbitration matters. He has practiced law for 13 years, during which he has built a bond with each and every one of his clients.

“I work with them directly as opposed to assigning them to an associate advocate or a legal assistant,’ he says. ‘Especially in commercial litigation, clients need a whole lot of support, and a periodic reality check to complement the legal advice they are paying for. When you combine that with full access and availability, it makes for long-lasting relationships.’

Kong’ani is an expert in environmental matters and is the current serving Kenya’s representative to the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework on Climate Change) Energy Expert. He also holds directorship positions at Ottobock Kenya Limited-a subsidiary of Ottobock SE which is the worlds largest producer of prosthetic devices, and African Woman Global Network- a local NGO in support of women and girl child empowerment.

He is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Egerton University where he teaches Environmental Law, Intellectual Property and Civil Procedure and Practise and has authored the Supreme Court of Kenya Case Digest, published by Law Africa, 2022.

He served as a Member in the Political Party Disputes Tribunal (2022 – 2023) and is also a defunct Lecturer at the Kenya School of Law.

Kong’ani is passionate in legal aid and facilitating access to legal services and justice for the needy and vulnerable in the community and has led many legal aid clinics and represented many clients on a probono basis.

Kong’ani attended the University of Nairobi for his Bachelor’s of Law, then went on to earn a Master’s of Law at the University of Glasgow and is currently a Doctorate candidate of law at the University of Nairobi.
